Black Gen Z’s Political Efficacy and Health Information Seeking Through the Use of TikTok Following the Overturn of Roe v. Wade

Gen Z is using TikTok to study political productivity and is seeking health information based on the overturning of Roe v. Wade. This is critical because it examines existing literature about social media politics and health behaviors among youths, political and health research in the Black community, and how TikTok is a tool for political and health communication. The disproportionate impact on people was specifically called out by the media. Black women in America are confronted with disparities in obtaining health care that are biased toward their health insurance and contraceptive options. Health experts also commented that the services rendered in sexual and reproductive clinics predominantly serve the well-being of Black women as opposed to that of women from the other racialized set or white women.
